My approach, Healthy Living by Design, blends health coaching with systems thinking. I help you design a Personal Lifestyle Ecosystem — personalized structures, routines, and environments that do the heavy lifting for you so that healthy living becomes easy, joyful, and sustainable.

Why I Do This Work

I came to this work mainly through lived experience. My own wellness journey started at 27 with a dance class. From there, I explored Feldenkrais, Pilates, BodyMind Centering, Alexander Technique, breathwork, meditation, yoga — you name it. I followed up with cardio, outdoor adventures, and a mostly plant-based, whole-food diet that I genuinely loved.

Despite decades of healthy, active living, I was diagnosed with prediabetes in 2023. I spent over three years tracking, experimenting, and searching for answers — and what I eventually learned is that the real challenge isn’t knowing what to do but building a personal infrastructure to actually live it.

That insight, along with a more than 30-year career first in ecosystem conservation and later in business consulting, designing systems for wellness entrepreneurs that supported their work and life, led me to this work. It’s also what makes my approach different.

My official title is National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach — which is a very convoluted way of saying I help smart, busy humans design a lifestyle that supports their health without requiring a PhD in nutrition or the willpower of an olympic athlete.

  • I am an INTJ, double Scorpio, Enneagram One, Austrian citizen, born in Germany who has lived and worked in 10 different European countries and US states.
  • My superpowers: creating clarity out of complexity, and translating visions into structures that actually work. That goes for businesses, lifestyles, and everything in between.
  • As a devoted health food passionista I love cooking up a storm. Mostly plant-based. Always delicious.
  • I also run a consulting practice, Strategy+Flow Group, dedicated to helping purpose-driven wellness entrepreneurs and social changemakers organize their lives and businesses more effectively, so they can successfully build a high-impact venture without burning out.

The things I don’t do
  • I don’t provide medical advice, diagnose health conditions, or recommend or sell supplements. So, you won’t leave our first session with a bag full of supplements and a lighter wallet.
  • I’m not a therapist. I don’t provide psychological or psychotherapeutic counseling. If, during our work together, we uncover challenges that need specialized support, we’ll find the right expert together.
  • I also won’t tell you what to do. I may offer suggestions and perspectives, but the decisions will always be yours – rooted in your vision, your values, and your life.
  • I won’t let you BS yourself. Trust me, I know how to spot it — we all do it sometimes. We create reasons to hold onto habits even when we know change would serve us. When it’s time to step out of excuse mode and into action mode, I’ll let you know. And remember: tough love is still love.
